Hyper Blue STI, just a little frosty.

Kinja'd!!!

I finally saw one in person. I like it.

Kinja'd!!!

I also found this 2010 Forester (2.5X Premium, Satin White Pearl), with interesting wheels.

Kinja'd!!!

These are the factory wheels from 2009-2010 (also found on the 2007-2008 Forester XT), painted metallic black to reveal some of the finer details. It appears the lips have been polished, too.

Kinja'd!!!

While not my style, I like how they turned out. I think it would look better with the center caps painted black, but that’s just me.

My dealer had a Hyper Blue in the showroom back in October. If I could’ve afforded it I would have bought it on the spot.

I actually like those painted wheels a lot - but you’re right a black center cap would be better. My Forester has the stock steelies and I’m debating between aftermarket or painting some OEM. Most Subaru wheels have these subtle grooves on them that you can’t really see in solid silver. Someone about two hours away has these BRZ wheels on Craigslist that I’ll probably go grab them this weekend if they haven’t sold them yet.

At least the fix was cheap-ish

It’s surprising how detailed stock Subaru wheels are, and how well those details are usually hidden.

Kinja'd!!!

BRZ wheels look surprisingly good on the SH.

Kinja'd!!!

and also on the SG.

That SH really looks good. Mine is an SJ and I think they look pretty good on them too. (Not mine, just an image search result.)

Kinja'd!!!

I was actually looking for stock XT wheels when I saw a few forum posts of BRZ wheels on Foresters and figured they would be easy to find locally since so few BRZ’s that I see still have the stock wheels. Hopefully, the seller still has them Sunday when I can make the trip. Also my oil light just came on so hopefully I won’t be in the shop getting a short block replacement...

Oooh I just had another idea. Maybe If I score the BRZ wheels I’ll put those on the Outback and plasti-dip the stock Outback 6-spokes gold and throw those on the Forester. Decisions, decisions...

Those look really good on the SJ. What year is yours?

The BRZ wheels look nice on the Outback, too. Personally, I think they look a bit better on the Forester.

Yeah then I wouldn't have to annoy my wife by tying up both cars all afternoon while I messed with it. The guy couldn't meet today. Hopefully he still has them next weekend when I can make the drive again.

2014 2.5i base 6MT. We finally had a weekend without rain so I gave it a good wash this afternoon. Satin white pearl looks awesome when it’s clean, but it’s hard to keep that way!

Kinja'd!!!

The Outback is a 2013 2.5i Premium. It has the CVT, which I actually don’t hate. It got a bath today too. Here’s a family portrait right after I dried them.

Looking good!

Here’s our family portrait: a 2012 Outback 3.6R Limited, a 2015 Forester 2.5i Limited, and a 2009 Forester 2.5X Limited.

Kinja'd!!!

The 2009 Forester is mine. This photo was taken last winter. The gap between the bumper cover and the fender was fixed this past fall, due to, uh, reasons ...

Aaaaaand of course I got dragged out to the ranch today so that wash didn’t last long. No mud but a lot of dust.

I know that feeling! At one point this past summer it started raining 5 minutes after I just washed and waxed mine...
